253rd ACS Spring National Meeting, San Francisco, CA, April 2-6, 2017

CELL Division Program

This year's program of the Cellulose and Renewable Materials Division at the 253rd ACS National Meeting in San Francisco, CA, to be held April 2-6 2017, comprises of 15 symposiums with more than 400 oral and 70 poster presentations.

CELL Division Executive Committee Meeting

Date: Saturday, April 1, 2017
Time: 4:00 – 7:30 PM
Location: Moscone Center, Room 262

In this meeting, Executive Committee members of the ACS CELL Division review reports from the Chair, the Treasury, the Program Chair, the Councillor, the Awards Chair and Publicity Chair. Members will discuss future direction of the Division and, when needed, vote on any changes or amendments to Division policy. Members wishing to place items on the agenda are urged to contact the Division Chair or any other Executive Committee Member.

CELL Division Awards Banquet

The Cellulose and Renewable Materials Division Awards Banquet 2017 will be held at:

The special guest of honor will be this year's Anselme Payen Award winner Kevin Edgar. A reception will begin at 6:00 PM, and dinner will follow. Tickets can be purchased when you register for the ACS conference online, or by contacting the division Events Chair, Nikki Robitaille Brown.

CELL Division Governance and Technical Program Meetings

Date: Wednesday, April 5th, 2017
Time: 5:30 – 8:00 PM
Location: Moscone Center, Room 274

The Division’s Executive Committee would like to extend an invitation and encourage everyone to attend our Governance meeting. This is your chance to learn about ongoing activities within the division, share your viewpoints, and influence the future of the division.

The Technical Program meeting is an opportunity for the team to meet face-to-face while they lay the groundwork for future programs. CELL Division members and ACS meeting participants are encouraged to visit the team during this meeting with their suggestions and contributions towards future programming.

The CELL Division has an open Call for Papers for this ACS Fall meeting. This year's Fall Meeting theme is "Chemistry's Impact on the Global Economy." Please follow the following link to submit an abstract. The deadline for abstract submission is April 10th, 2017.
